Residents are encouraged to pursue their special interests and to become involved in clinical projects as their schedule permits. Bridgeport faculty have participated in clinical trials with faculty based in New Haven. Faculty members are also involved in writing chapters for texts and reviews for journals. The Department of Medical Education at Bridgeport Hospital generously supports travel expenses for residents who are given the opportunity to present their works at regional or national meetings.
