There are four perinatologists, who work in the division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. In addition to our busy high-risk obstetric service, we receive antepartum maternal transfers from other area hospitals. Antepartum high-risk patients are admitted to our ten bed Special Care Maternity Unit.

Comprehensive experience in high-risk obstetrics is gained in our Antepartum Testing Unit, which performs over 500 studies per month including NST, level II genetic scans, transvaginal sonography, genetic amniocentesis, and Doppler flow studies. Diagnostic ultrasounds and amniocentesis for lung maturity and to identify chorioamnionitis are also performed in our Labor & Delivery Unit.

Ambulatory OB/GYN special clinics are held daily in our Primary Care Center and each resident has his/her own weekly continuity clinic. High-Risk OB clinics are held weekly. General obstetrical and gynecology clinics are held throughout the week. There are 3 certified physician assistants and one certified nurse midwife who work closely with the residents.

A Colposcopy/Oncology Clinic is held twice a week.

Gyn surgical procedures are performed in either the main operating room or the Ambulatory Center. Most patients for major surgery are admitted to Same Day Admissions.
