There is a night float system. The night float resident works Sunday - Thursday and has the weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) off. Other residents cover Friday- Sunday on a rotational basis. The junior resident will have every opportunity to examine and form a treatment plan for all patients entering through the emergency room or the delivery room suite. There is a full-time, board certified, attending physician present in-house 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This physician is present for teaching as well as in-house coverage. There is a perinatologist on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Duty Hours: On-call duties follow the standards of the ACGME and the OB/Gyn Residency Review Committee. All residents have at least one day out of 7 away from the hospital.
