  Borrowing Materials:
 
Books: Materials may be checked out Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. If these times are inconvenient for you, please call ext. 3254 to make other arrangements with a Library staff member. Borrowed materials must be returned to the library office on or before the due date.
Only those presenting a valid Bridgeport Hospital ID are eligible to borrow materials. You will be asked to fill out an Application to Borrow Library Materials if you are new to our institution or if it is your first time borrowing from us. Please present your hospital ID when checking out materials or requesting privileges.
  • Textbook can be borrowed from other libraries and are subject to the lending terms of the lending institution. Patrions are responsible for fees charged for late returns or lost books.
Renewals:

Library materials may be renewed in person, through email (library@bpthosp.org), or over the phone (ext. 3254) providing they have not been requested by others. Items are renewed for 30 days unless otherwise noted.

Loan Periods:

  • Books - 30 Days
  • VHS/DVD - 30 Days
  • Board Review - 24 hours
  • Reference Books and Journals do not circulate
Unreturned/Lost/Damaged Materials:

If an item is not returned within six months, you will be billed for the replacement cost of the item(s).
