Learning Resource Center

The Ettinger Learning Resource Center (LRC) provides access to computer hardware, software and technical support for the Residents and students enrolled in programs at Bridgeport Hospital.

The door to the LRC is kept locked at all times, and is accessible to residents, nursing students, nurse anesthetist students, library and multimedia staff, and pastoral care students by swiping their Bridgeport Hospital I.D. badge over the card reader.

Equipment:  Persons using LRC computer equipment are prohibited from installing personal software programs and/or attempting to change any aspect of the computers’ configurations.  A member of the Library staff will delete all unauthorized user files found on the C:\ drives on a weekly basis.  Users are advised to save their files to a floppy disk or to their H:\ drive.  Disks may be purchased from the Library for one dollar.

Support:  Hardware malfunctions should be reported to the Library staff and Library staff will call the Information Services help desk, extension 4357.  Library staff is available to assist with simple service questions.  For problems with computer passwords, the user must call the help desk.
